Ch,

You will ind some answers in my earlier postings such as " The 5 Pointers: South, North, East, West & Middle" and "Harmonious Cosmic Motion".

The 5 directions, it is another way of saying the 5 major grouping systems, each corresponding to major "organ system".

Notice it is "organ systems", not organs.

Say with respect to "North", we have the "kidney system", which, amongst all things, will include the hair and color balck.

Therefore, if you have a choice, you will choose black sesame seeds for matters related to the kidney system.

Also "seeds" is the crystalisation of "living essence", therefore seeds generally are beneficial to kidney system. However, as with all things, it is about balance, don't try to put too much into the "kidney system" in the later cycle of life, this is not in sync with the "4 seasons".

Over abundance will disturb the balance, too much "living essence" may unnecessarily promote "growth", causing the wrong growth rate in the body. The result can be catastrophic. Therefore too much tofu can be counter-productive.

Seeds are incredible, if you take a week off from work, you can easily feel pretty good with just 20g of pine seeds a day and water.

As to making profits out of hair products, guess you can find a long list.

May be I should give it a thought, kanpo shampoo with an additional free CD on simple tips to hair growth, or link to my blog etc.

Have a great weekend.

xy2,
Thanks for the posting on hair.

You are right that when one is given a simple and easy recipe, no one really believes in their effectiveness, so no one actually take you seriously.

So perhaps we should come together and package your ginger recipe into some fancy product and call it "Mohatsu" or "Sohatsu" and charge USD200 per bottle and it will be a hot sell!!
Merck, the manufacturer of Propecia is making tons of $$$ while helping men to gain some hair.

Eating sesame and drinking ginger juice has long been known in Japan for improving circulation and keeping the body warm in winter. Any difference between taking white and black sesame?

Also it is promoted that if we take more food with black /dark pigments (eg. black sesame, black beans, seaweed etc), it will help keep out hair black. Sort of makes sense, but I am more apt to think that it is not directly the pigmentation on these food but rather the nutrition available in them that helps.

Any comments?

There is a Chinese expression :

"... 情人眼里出西施..."

Meaning the beholder is much at fault.

So the exposure itself is actually no the real issue.

Remember the Sixth Patriah's enlightment:

"... 不是风动，不是幡动，仁者心动...", ie,

"... It is not the wind that moves, nor the flag that moves, it is the beholder's heart that moves..."

Have fun.

At formal parties, men wear smartly, clad from neck to toe, only exposing their heads & hands. Women expose themselves as much as possible with minimum coverage over private parts. They are putting their health at risk for the sake of society's wants? :)

I often wonder, how the women do that, coz I would bring along an extra covering if I wear sleeveless to an aircon room.

This writing about the oriental philosophy pushed me into a status of "numb" for a while.

However, your writing displays a good combination of the Oriental philosopy and the scientific knolwedge, and it makes the writing flow as smooth as a small stream of water in deep, quiet mountains. But, it also makes your writing as insightful as Einstein as it is supported by the philosophical insights of the East.

I particularly liked the following part, and think it is quite truthful: "In modern society, most people no longer observe these rules of the nature. Girls wear super short skirts, men drink till the small hours, everything against the very rules of Winter."

I will come back soon.

Thanks xy2.
I'll look at it another way, more viruses, more business for doctors then.
Of course don't wish for any deadly virus, just the ones that cause a bit of a nuisance and send you to the doctors and get you a few days off work!

Hmm ... Tomorrow will be 8 degree colder than today, and then stays the same for 3 days. But further Saturday will be 5 degree colder than Friday. That will be a drop of more than 10 degree within a week. Already felt a colder and wetter autumn this year. Looks like this winter is on track for colder months than last year. The calendar is pretty accurate on season change.

Why next year is again a very heaty year? It seems 3 straight years xy2 mention about heat.
