Dear Friends,

Today is June 21, 2008. It corresponds to 夏至(xia zhi) in Chinese calendar.
Many people misunderstood the term 夏至, interpreted it literally as the “arrival of Summer”.
As we discussed in earlier posting 立夏(li xia) : Lifting the Veil on Summer Phase , the conditions for “Summer phase” were essentially established by 立夏 (May 5).
- 夏至 actually means the “peak of Summer phase”. It will also witness the longest day-light in Northern Hemisphere for 2008.
- However, given the Earth is a big ship with huge capability to absorb energy, the actual temperature will not hit its peak for another month.
We are right in the middle of Strong Fire formation for 2008.
With that we will see heavier than usual precipitation/wind as the water is being pulled into the atmosphere.

Fasten your seat-belt.

Feeling the heat already! So strongly…..:) Make people do ‘crazy’ things. Emotions go up & down. Making quick decisions. Can suggest some things to do to cool down?
This yr 2008 is still my year of New Beginings, as mentioned in the begining of this yr in your blog! It’s getting hotter & hotter. I’m jostling between my 2 palms now. Exciting & risky! But in God I put my thrust!
Fastening my seat-belt now. Better switch to low gear. Drink LiangTeh already. So now, do what to wait out the storm? Hmmm…..how about do prayer blessings to change the heated atmosphere? So that we can rise with the storm & be lifted unto greater heights. Then when this yr is over, we find ourselves in a better & higher position.
How about we list down the areas we want to be blessed, so that all of us can pray for one another in our own different ways without prejudice?
Ok, I’ll start. Pls pray that I get a good bank rate for my land loan which I’ve to decide within these 2 wks. Thanks!
Well, every day IS A GOOD DAY.
So cherish each day, nevermind the external circumstances.
“Fasten your seat-belt” – well have been hearing that since late last year
When will all these be done? May be you can give us some sneak peek into this winter and next year cosmic environment
Yeah, we can appreciate each day; but thought better adjust our major life event planning with the cosmic …
ct, I was asking the same question of xy2 in my comments to the last posting, for a sneak peek into 2009 as I am fed up or rather have given up on 2008.
But then come to think of it again, we might as well keep the mystery a bit, otherwise there will be no more fun! We are not yet past half of 2008 and yet we are all so fed up with it.
The Chinese should not have chosen to host the 2008 Olympics…despite the fatt, fatt, and more fatt numbers.
To xy2, EVERY DAY is a GOOD DAY, I agree. I have for you the words from a song, one of my favorites: “This is the day, this is the day that the Lord hath made, we will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it” come what may!
Meanwhile I am taking my Vitamin Cs and my daily fruits (after my daily bread) and trying to keep my cooooooool !
ch, ct :
Have you forgotten my postings on “Experiencing Now and Here” and “Guten Tag : Everyday is a Good Day”?
Okay, to lighten up your day, 2009 on average is going to be a more normal year conducive for smoother running of events with much less disruptions/sudden events.
It is a Lesser Earth year with Damp Earth/Cold Water.
Earth represents the central Qi, just like the axis of a wheel. If the axis is smooth and running, the wheel and therefore the Qi will move smoothly in a rhythmic cycle.
So you can take comfort it is going to be easier to handle in 2009 and in the meantime, enjoy Now and Here.
ch:
Dryness will dominate in the second half, especially towards the end of 2008.
for those born in the later half of 1960, the lung system will be overloaded in the Q4 of 2008 till late Jan 2009. Stay away from dry wind.
Hi CH,
That was exactly the song that came to mind when I read Xiaoyao2’s -’Everyday is a good day’!!! I’m taking no chances too, though this yr is my good yr. I’m taking an avocado milk shake(home made) every morning for breakfast, to steer away some of the yrs….hopefully…. Only this, nothing else. It keeps me working till past 2pm when I have my lunch.
To me, this is a good yr – a yr of New Beginings! I wrote that in this blog in Feb or Mar 08. It still is!
This 2nd half yr, I’m considering setting up an Offshore Company in HK to offset my companies’ taxes. Any advise from you all?
xiaoyao2,
Thanks. Now I have to be careful from now one, huh? OK yeah I tend to be also a fire/ dry person, so yes, dryness will not go well with fire/heat. Will be careful in the last Q.
Well, thanks for the sneak preview of 2009…maybe we can all sigh with a bit of relief now…..as we will see a more normal year next year. Meanwhile it has been bad news whether it be natural disaster, bad politics (unfair elections and votes of no confidence every which where!) or downhill economies and upward prices. We are just hoping that all these will pass…..
Noticed that the blog is getting super active! Keep it up, xiaoyao2 and all ye commentators!
This blog provides me with a bit of “distraction” from the boredom of everyday life! (esp. this year when things are just not great…though personally things have been OK so far…thank God!)
